Congratulations to the Goetz family, the 2008 KSI Dream Design Kitchen Makeover Winners!

For the past 12 years, Tom and Audrey Goetz have provided a loving home for 61 foster children. Currently Audrey and Tom have three foster children living with them. Add in the six children of their own, and the Goetz kitchen is certainly a very busy place! Audrey makes sure to put a hot meal on the table every night for the entire group to enjoy as a family.

Cooking nightly dinners, preparing daily breakfasts, and packing 5 lunches every day keeps Audrey in her kitchen most days – and most nights. With all that use, the Gorilla® glue holding together the cabinet doors just isn’t working any more, and neither is the “island” -- an old card table in the center of the kitchen for the kids to help Audrey. The only dishwasher in the house is Audrey – as the electric dishwasher broke last year and caused a leak that destroyed the kitchen floor – the only part of the kitchen that was new. Yet Audrey continued to use her kitchen, live with her kitchen, and try to love her kitchen. Then her children heard about the annual KSI Dream Design Makeover Contest, and that’s when everything changed…

It is Audrey’s goal in life to give these lost children a warm, caring home. Now it is the goal of the KSI Dream Kitchen team to give Audrey’s home a new heart.
